Why am I passionate about lawn care and landscaping?
From my early childhood, I have held a deep love for nature and its awe-inspiring landscapes. As a young child, I spent my time helping widowed neighbors tend to their yards, where I found immense satisfaction working with plants and being in tune with nature. I enjoyed blending colors to create beautiful blooms, bringing joy to the lives of these ladies.
However, I also observed the devastating effects of neglecting landscapes. Communities deteriorated because of one neglected property, causing the value of the entire neighborhood to plummet. This, in turn, led to further neglect, perpetuating a vicious cycle. I realized that when yards were not correctly maintained, it had harmful effects on everyone living around them.
My experiences drove me to learn all there was to know about creating and maintaining beautiful landscapes and plants. In 1990, I founded Grosh’s Lawn Service with the goal of enabling more people to have properties that they could take pride in.
